Rosewood-Trimont School Uniform Guidelines

  1. a) For Girls:

– Blue skirts worn below the knee

– White socks worn above ankles

– Black shoes or sneakers (no high-tops; No Slippers/sandals/Crocs, etc)

– White Polo tucked into skirts

  1. b) For Boys:

– Khaki long-pants

– Black belt

– Black socks worn above ankles

– Black shoes fastened by lacings or Velcro

– Burgundy Polo shirt tucked into pants

  1. c) Sweaters/Cardigans:

– Students may wear the official School Sweater, Hoodie, or Cardigan provided by the school’s uniform suppliers.

– Alternatively, solid Black, Burgundy, or Navy Sweaters/Hoodies/Cardigans without any print or embroidery are allowed.

– Wearing any other Sweater/Hoodie/Cardigan is strictly prohibited.

  1. d) Exceptions due to Injury or Medical condition:

– Parents may request a waiver for up to 2 school days in writing where a student is unable to comply with the Uniform standards temporarily.

– Longer periods may be considered if supported by a medical certificate.

  1. a) For Girls:

– House-colored T-shirts

– Black loose-fitting knee-length shorts OR loose-fitting Black track pants (no Leggings or Tights)

– Appropriate shoes with Black socks above the ankle

– Tight, clinging, form-fitting clothing must be avoided.

 

  1. b) For Boys:

– House-colored T-shirts

– Black loose-fitting knee-length shorts OR loose-fitting Black track pants (no Leggings or Tights)

– Appropriate shoes with Black socks above the ankle

– Tight, clinging, form-fitting clothing must be avoided.

Students may vary the foregoing based on the written Guideline of the Coach for each specific sport.

– Students are required to wear the complete School Uniform every day except on PE days, where they may arrive wearing their PE tops.

– They will change their skirts/trousers after lunch into their track pants.

– If a student is unable to wear the complete uniform on any day, their parents must send a written explanation, or the student will have to return home.

– Boys are not permitted to have piercings of any sort.

– Wearing of jewellery to school is generally not advisable.

– Parents may request in writing for their child to be permitted to wear jewellery of religious or familial significance within specific limitations.

  1. a) For Girls:

– Hair shall be secured away from the face, in a ponytail or plait if long enough.

– Simple, small, burgundy (or navy blue or white) accessories may be used as long as they do not detract attention from the face.

– Clear and clean short nails. Nail Polish is not permitted.

 

  1. b) For Boys:

– A short, neatly combed haircut forms part of the uniform. Hair lengths are to be kept above eyebrows, the ears, and the shirt collars.

– Tattoos are not permitted. No permanent or temporary tattoos should be present on the skin.
